new age
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/ ... -year.html
hello debian !
welcome into a whole new age !
can you by any chance keep up with the new age ?
ffs, is embarasing, and i mean REALLY
a bizcard cd is a lot bigger and if at that you add an optical unit then the difference in size is EXTREMELY HUGE when you compare with a slim usb drive like http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-JetFlas ... B0056TYSN0
and if you compare capacity then it is the absolute other way around !
but you still rely ONLY ON CD, and to a level that is already totally annoying ...
i just tried to install debian on a Q1 tablet pc ... no optical units, 2 usb ports, and windows
i did tried to install by downloading debian iso image, mounting the image then running the setup.exe
again, NO CD that means pain, so NO GAME
windows is a full operating system, you can do anything in it
but what you chose that if i don't have CD then i cannot use debian on that device ... RIGHT ?
NO, I DON'T NEED ANY HELP WITH THIS ISSUE !
what i need is you to TURN THE POWER ON AND HELP USER, BY JOINING THE NEW AGE
so, question is, shall i still use debian ? (every time i open a topic i get in the best case an work-around)
or i should go to something else ?, like ... ubuntu, maybe even if they are based on debian, they try to make it easy FOR ME, and not make top sales to optical units retailers (or whatever is your reason to do this ... CRAPPY STUFF)

Re: new age
Installing to or from USB is covered in the Install Guide. Rather than posting more drivel I suggest you go read it or go install Ubuntu and go away. RTFM. A simple Google search would have given you the correct page, but I guess that would take too much effort and you would rather post crap.

Re: new age
I am not against CD/DVD's even though I do not use them. They are very good for backups and installations. And if my files were small as yours are, I would be using floppy disks.
As far as installations, from a CD or USB or anywhere, I think that you have to do some reading.

This means you are posting only for offensive purposes. The forums exists for help and discussions.NO, I DON'T NEED ANY HELP WITH THIS ISSUE !
Only you can answer that. At first try you may not like it. If you do not want to spend time learning your operating system, I suggest you do not switch on your computer a lot. Even if you put MS Windows you still need some time to learn how it works and where you can find the programs you use.so, question is, shall i still use debian ?
Being anonymous is the same as being an idiot.

Under no circumstances should you continue to use Debian.
Now go away.
Re: new age
What does more people watching watching on-line movies than buying movies on DVD have to do with the choice of an OS?
Good advice.
They do not us CDs?Sorcerer25 wrote: ... or i should go to something else ?, like ... ubuntu

Re: new age
Guys you are advising to use Debian , it's OK we will use Debian but what for newcomers . As Debian is more technical than Ubuntu .
Re: new age
The thread is neither about Debian nor Ubuntu.
You:
1) Are a troll.
2) Are a spammer.
3) Did not read the thread.
If 1 or 2, go away.
If 3, start reading threads to familiarise yourself with the topic before posting. Otherwise face-palms will come your way.

Re: new age
It's like somebody did a find & replace on a Viagra spam e-mail... I didn't think that would make it worse but it did.
