O, come on. Theres gotta be more than taht. I'm talking about the whole debian system not just apt-get.

I wanna know all the stuff I should be doing to keep my system healthy and up-to-date on a regular basis.

Well in Debian APT controls most things. Occasionally you will need to clean out /tmp (if the system crashes and something doesn't get deleted for example) and one big space hog is the ~/.thumbnails directory (using KDE I've had over 130MB of thumbnails sometimes.)

Play with rkhunter.
And localepurge.
Then install deborphan and run orphaner.
Then gkdebconf.
Then privoxy.
You do have a firewall up and running, yes?

Although they are one-offs - but you should run orphaner occasionally to remove any excess libraries you don't need.

Localepurge can save a few megs, but you generally only need to run it once.

Orphaner should be run occasionally especially after a major upgrade.

KFileLight is a good program to visually see what directories are taking up a lot of disk space.

Also remember to remove packages with --purge to remove config files and save a little more space.
