Benchmarking

#1 Post by CompRebel »

I just bought some new hardware, and now I want to test it.
I mean how can I test if the complete system is fast and if it's stable?

Any ideas?

I don't know about a program which tests the whole system, however, there are several smaller programs which can be used for testing parts of the system. For example, you can use 'hdparm' to measure disk throughput, or 'glxgears' to get an idea about hardware acceleration.
