Guest posting turned off

Postby kink » 2006-06-02 12:11

Hello all,

Due to the extremely high amounts of spam we got recently, we've turned off guest posting at least temporarily while we're looking for a way to offer it again. I hope we can, because it lowers the barrier for entry. We'll keep you posted.

Sounds good to me.
If you really wanted to offer a guest a way to post then maybe create a actual guest account with guest as the password and list it alongside the login area? maybe? just a thought-crazy as usual

Can you forward that bounce to the email address listed in my profile so I can check what went wrong? Thanks.

Remember to change every forum in the back-end facility to "Registered" for posting, etc.

I also agree, good choice.

How about letting guests post, but they have to enter one of those security codes. The one thats a picture and you have to figure out the code. Like the one when you register.
