Again, one report per spammer, please!

Please!
Please!
Make only one report per spam bot.
10 reports on the same spammer account doubles the removal work involved.

Tanks!

thanks!
We'd rather have more reports then not enough reports.

So report away ( one each) when noticing multiple spam bots logged in

But 10 reports still equals 10 beans, right? Wait...

I'll reiterate, if spam reporters find the first post by the spammer and report that, we'll all be reporting the same post.

Less work for the spambusters.

Dunno.
I thought people who report a lot of spam become spamhunters.
spamhunters become moderators in the future.
Seen that way reporting all and everything makes sense to me.
Reporting. A horrible word.

Now translate that for me: "Menschlich - Allzumenschlich"

Depends on your perspective...

"I reported the fire to the emergency services"

sound OK? :D

No. No. No. Don't report. Never ever.

I guess i meant "report" in the meaning of "idle little schemer", but i am not that sure what i mean. At school. The word for them was "Petze" (fink? tattletale? ). Latin too? Persona non grata.

How do we know if it's been reported?

I think llivv meant to not report several posts by the same spammer (and reported by the same person. If you, Soapm, reported spammer best-porn-ever, then i, nadir, can't figure that out and might report another post of him. Sure. But you shall not report another post by the same spammer).
Seen that way reporting should get paid. So much headaches.

It can be a bit hard for members to know if a report in one thread matches a spammer in another thread found by another user. I can sure relate to the frusteration of closing all those additional reports though. If there is a mass spamming try to reach one of us with the power to remove all posts by a user. It will help eliviate closing all those reports as when all the post are deleted, the reports dissapire as well ;-) I am not sure what time zones everyone else is in, I am GMT/WTC -8 and getting me here before 10am is not always real easy with my schedual these days. I do look in on the forum most every day though and my e-mail is also checked so if I recieve a PM from someone I get here as soon as I can.

Yeah. I've never reported spam. Mainly because I'd feel like *bothering* people if I did. For me, it's less of a hassle to just skip the obvious spam messages than start harassing spamhunters (who have but pocket knives to deal with the issue) with futile reports.

It's easy, but time-consuming, to skip the obvious spam threads, but lately, spam also appears in many non-spam threads, making it a frustrating waste of time to open those threads.

True, but many times the last poster is named asdfafa2414 or cheapcialisdotcom. One can draw conclusions and mark the thread read. IF, however, 3v3vv3v3vv3vvvv turned out not to be a spambot, so what? It wouldn't be the first nor the last post I've accidentally (or on purpose) marked read.
