When I search for "VLC", the multimedia player, I don't get any results; but there are posts in this forum about this player, as can be seen in these examples:

Is there any problem in the searching engine or it's me that I don't search well?

Re: No results searching for "VLC"
You need more than 3 letters for the forum search to work , USB will not work either. Use your favorite search engine instead:
Code: Select all
VLC site:forums.debian.net
Re: No results searching for "VLC"
Another approach is to add an asterisk to your TLA, so that there are more than 3 letters, thus a search for "vlc*" does work, although you may have a few invalid hits, so that "xen*" will also find "xenix" as well as "xen".
