What?An entry on the blacklist may have several reasons:
1. You are a well-known spammer.
2. Last time a well-known spammer was using the dynamic IP address which you got from your ISP (Internet Service Provider), your e-mail address or the username you have choosen.
3. Your ISP is well-known for a lot of spamming customers and is not fighting against spammers enough.

Re: An entry on the balcklist may have several reasons...
Is this occuring every time you post ? or just the 1 time ?
Obviously if the IP is not listed, no removal can be requested or made.
I have had the same happen, 2 or 3 times in a 2 year period,
Occasionally we get people at SFS asking about this as well,...
unless it is something that starts occuring often, I don't worry about it.
If you want to PM me the IP in question , I can see if I can get more
info, Is your IP a staic IP or Dynamic, ?
https://www.iplocation.net/static-vs-dynamic-ip-address
It probably is Dynamic, and changes,......and for a moment you had one that
triggered the alert.

Apparently there is some kind of bug in the software. The IP does not change.

Another thing, and I don't know about here on this forum,...but Stop Forum Spam
is not the only data base for this, there are several, and if it is listed on another
data base, and the forum software uses them as well it would result in a black or warning,...
What you can do yourself is do a "google seach" on the IP, and it may show you
specificly which data base has it listed. Note, Google is much better for this kind of
thing then startpage,...
What could have happened as well is some spam bots use fake IP s, that are randomly generated,...and one may have used that IP at some point in time,..but
apparently it is not in the stop forum spam data base, but that does not mean it isn't in
another one, the "google search" is the best way I know of to find out where it is listed.

What to do if my IP is listed some wheree for blocking
http://whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-removal
software, it would be happening to many others ?,....
In my case, it was and is a problem with my ISP,...
I will admit, though just recently at Stop Forum Spam , the website has been totally
re-built, and all though most of the "bugs" have been worked out, it is pssoible
there is something to that, and it is showing "not listed", but I think we pretty much
have all the problems worked ot now.

Re: An entry on the balcklist may have several reasons...
i missed this thread before i bugged the forum admin, thinking i'd been banned (sorry!)
my ip is not on https://www.stopforumspam.com yet i received this while replying to a thread earlier.
it was in the desktop thread, i quoted someone and also embedded an http image, so i suspect the image triggered it.
combination of new account + a "link"?
edit: hmm, maybe not. there's a link in this post. odd.

Re: An entry on the balcklist may have several reasons...
debian forums is usually the fastest forum i use.
today it's the slowest.
and i got that big red warning too. (but trying a second time it went through ok, and my ip is NOT on the list)
maybe those 2 occurences are connected?
