[SOLVED]How to ask for a topic merge?

Sometimes, users make different topics regarding the same hardware and issue, like these two posts:
Dell Latitude E6410 - matrix is blinking
http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=135669
Debian 9 stretch & MATE desktop - flickering screen
http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=135662

And it's ok and normal (even that we all expect users know how to search, sometimes they don't even bother to, but sometimes they simply don't know, how to or that this feature exists).

So, at the event like that the same issue have two posts, how to ask for "merging topics"?

Yes, we are aware of that,
Sometimes, users make different topics regarding the same hardware and issue,
Simply report the posts in question, but first.

Please read :
Forum guidelines. Please read before more posts

Read it very carefully. Read all of it.
Before you start using Debian User Forums, please observe the following guidelines:

1. Do not cross post. Posting the same topic in more than one category only creates confusion and makes it hard to keep track on the various replies. Double posts will be locked.
If you feel something is "cross posting" or should be merged into one topic,
simply use the report option, and report both topics, after that a admin or moderator will decide if the topic should or shouldn't be merged.
The same would apply to any posts that you have a problem with, however
use some logic, and common sense. DO NOT start reporting every post some one makes, just because they don't agree with you.
Another thing, and this applies to everyone. We do not give awards or prizes , nor special privileges to any one based on post count. Making lot's of posts, just to try to increase your post count is pointless, and will not get you any special privileges.
You can edit the subject line, and mark this as solved. No need for additional
replies, please do not start another argument.

Those 2 threads are from 2 different members. If one posted their issues in the others thread we would ask them to start their own thread and not to hijack it.
So no, we do not merge those threads.

Ok. now I understood the method to make it. It is the same issue and same hardware, have you noticed?
I question assumptions and long-held beliefs to discover new and beneficial ways to live.
