I don't know , what did you install ? What theme are you talking about ?
Just guessing but, a fresh install would have the deafult theme, and not the one you had added or selected in a previous install.
i still see the old theme

I imagine you need to select the old theme , and set it as your default theme.

if you go to this forum without logging in, you get to the old format

when you login in you then get proformell

So you are talking about the forum theme ?
when you login in you then get proformell
I don't get "proformell", either logged in or not logged in .
It is not the theme I have selected, I use the default theme "prosilver".

Look at, "User Control Panel" (you must be logged in to do that)
Select >Board Preferences
Then look through the options, you will see :
My board style: Prosilver (or what ever theme you have selected), I have Prosilver selected, and I think it is the default setting.
You can change yours, to "ProFormel", if that is what you want, but when you are not logged in you will still get "Prosilver", because that is the defualt, and what, guests, or members that have not logged in will see.

NOTE: Be sure to click the submit button at the bottom.
====note :
I did try the "Proformell" theme, and it seems to be working as expected.
You must be logged in for the board to use any theme you have chosen, the board has no way of knowing what theme is chosen, when some one is not logged in, so it uses the default theme "Prosilver".
