I dont think the archives of this forum are being indexed by google. It would be a good idea to let google index forums.debian.org so that the past discussions can help people searching via google. What do the admins/other users think?

I believe this forum does get indexed by google, just like anything else which is not explicitly saying google not to do so.
Just search for "debian forum" in google, and see the first result ;-)

I meant the contents of the forum. Not just the home page.

Wierd! It seems to be working now. But when I posted this thread yesterday, I searched in google for a particular thread and it was not working. But that thread was indeed there on forums.debian.net .

In any case, I am glad that it is working now.

thanks

Google indexing has never been disabled, and will as far as I'm concerned never be.

I think it's valuable to be able to find answers to questions asked here via google.

Type the following in the Google Search Bar, and you will understand everything! ;-)
