Given the enormous volume of Russian porn delivered to this forum on an hourly basis ...

Would it be possible to set a filter which automatically deletes any post with the words:

• "секс" = "sex"
• "видео" = "video"
• "порно" = "porno"

yes that would be nice, i must have moved 30 Russian spam posts in the last few hours.

I was just wondering if it would be possible to restrict further posting to anyone who has been reported.
I.E. new Spammer posts , We use the report button , new spammer gets temporarily banned till a mod comes to check it out.
That and/or restricting new members to a few posts a day or 10 min. before reposting till they have been here a while.
I realize they have new spam mods , but it's getting out of hand lately.
Maybe a time ( zone ) based pole of your current mods , with a few more mods to fill in the 24 hour clock would help.

I just cleaned out 15 or so by one spam-bot. Man, they're a pain. (Not Russian though, for whatever that's worth.)

Yea , I had seen one from sign-on to last visit was 45 minutes with 16 posts ... maybe you missed one
I was the de-spammer on another sight ... it was a lot of effort.

Well, it's possible to censor words but just in a way where the bad word gets replaced with something else so it will not really help. Unless I'm a really dumb and are missing something basic I don't think there is a way to prevent a post with certain word actually being posted.

No, and if it was I doubt we would enable it since that would be a 'nice' way to silence someone. Report the guy and he'll shut up until and admin shows up...

Not a good idea either. Many register to get help with a problem and it can sometimes take a page or two with rapid posting back and forth to get it resolved.

Our best bet I guess would be to prevent the bots from registering in the first place... easier said than done. (Hopefully) the server people are looking for solutions.

And to have enough spam-killers willing to do the quick removing .
If you (the admins) need more of them, just ask. I've thought in the beginning that I'm too new here to apply...

This is open-source. You could hack the code.

51 minutes online , about 1.6 minutes per post. Could be hard to keep up if they get serious.
