I'm Asheesh, and I want to introduce myself. I'm a Debian developer who wants to help out the forums. (My nick is paulproteus, and I'm paulproteus at debian.org.)
I have to make two admissions, before this goes any further: I don't have a lot of time to move the forums forward, and so far, I seem to use email lists a whole lot more than I use forums.
I have a lot to learn about the forum community, both this Debian one in particular and forums in general. And I often talk weird, as you can see from this paragraph.
But here's what I have to offer:
- A little bit of time.
- A lot of love for the community you guys have here!
- Access to the server where the forums are hosted.
So I want to say hello and ask what you guys are thinking lately.
I'm new here, and I want to help. Like basically everyone, I'm doing a lot of things, and I won't be able to spend more than a few hours a week on the forum.
But!
I want to help! So let's see what we can do together.
What are the most important things I can do to make this place better? Okay, so I plan to upgrade the forum and start using reCAPTCHA <http://recaptcha.net/> for anti-spam. So what else?
