Font Manipulation in [CODE][/CODE]

Is it possible to look into the ability to bold and change font color of text with [CODE] brackets? Some forums allow this feature and it helps highlight specific aspects with in code when someone is posting on here.

Can this be enabled or is there a reason why this is specifically disabled?
