Back after many years.
Would just like to let the forum and anyone that's reading know I'm back from the madness that is Ubuntu. I have no ill feelings toward Ubuntu and have enjoyed the OS for several years, but the new interface and the lockdown that is being imposed by the devs is intolerable. After looking about for an alternative I've come back to Debian. Before using Ubuntu I had several machines up and running Debian and only switched to Ubuntu after a friend kept prodding me to switch. Glad to be back where sanity still exists.
