Spammers or bots

Have something to say about forums.debian.net itself?

Spammers or bots

Postby ZACHARiAS » 2012-02-01 15:06

Hi there, sires.
I've found out, that some newly registred users are actually spammer or bots. i dont know if you have already detected that, but please do pay attention to some new registrations and clean a few ones. I encourage you to instal a stopspam forum plugin and a new recaptcha module to prevent spamming or DB overloading with fake entries.

You can tell the bots quite easily - they usually have a signature full of commercial links, fanboy shit, images and the like...

I can see a few looking for drivers to make the whole reverse thing happen ;) Or bots telling me I can get a great deal on reversing hard drives.
