Good afternoon, all -
I am retiring from forums.debian.net; it turns out that Xubuntu 12.04 is a better fit for my needs.
Thank you to everyone who has assisted me during my short time here.

Leaving after 8 posts isn't retiring. At best, it's quitting. You quitter.

At least the person included a thank you for the help received in the farewell post. Although the farewell was unnecessary, the thank you was considerate.

I agree, the OP had the decency/respect for our community to give thanks for the help (s)he received whilst here.Randicus wrote:At least the person included a thank you for the help received in the farewell post. Although the farewell was unnecessary, the thank you was considerate.

Yes and Saline is prolly the best Xfce distro from Debian I've seen. Anthony has done a superb job with Debian Squeeze and Xfce.
This has been a none paid advertisement from a user of both distros.
Debian Buster

There is no need for you to leave because you are changing distribution of GNU/Linux. At the end of the day we are all still using the same operating system.
