the term xen drew no search hits on the whole forum?

"we're awake, but we're very puzzled"...

Perhaps the search term is too short and vague?
Perhaps no one has ever posted a question about it?
Perhaps few people use xen? Which would be the cause of the second possibility.

There's an active topic now, just ran across it... Searching xen server on the forum yields results, for example.
apt-cache search xen gives a lot of results. There is no package that's just call 'xen', at least not on sid.

Appears to be the answer.

"Xen" also generates several results on the Debian home page. Mostly dealing with security vulnerabilities.

Maybe try using "" for a phrase seach, e.g. "xen whatever"

Actually searching xen returns this thread.

Is there anyone using xen on debian I can ask a question?

Only way to find out would be to ask... :)

But I'd start a new thread.

Yes, I ran into this myself. It does work if you search for "xen*", although it does return a few off-topic things like "Xenix", but the number is small enough not to be a problem. If you search for "xen-tools" it claims to search for "xen" & "tools". Maybe it is a 3 letter restriction.

Ah! I have just spotted another post about 3 letter searches :-

http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=103228

which confirms the problem and suggests the solution of Google which "edbarx" refers to.
