i hate to drag this one out....

but could there be more details? I also have one of these aged macbooks and want to put debian on it... but how is it done... ??

i can figure that during install i parttion my drive in 50/500/remaining and set the mountpoints to /boot and / for the last 2 of them (i have 2gb ram so skipping swap... might push my luck but....)

but what about the first one? and what about getting it to boot?

i dont mind entering commands from the laptop...

if they where good enough for me to understand them i would not have asked.... but will look at them again and see if i get it this time...

of course the dvd drive in the macbook started to play stupid and i think its time for a new one.... but i just mangaged to scratch my org. snow leo disk bad enough that it might not be readable anymore... time will tell... of course no backup copy since i rarely use it

so until now it does not boot in to either osx or debian
