Dell monitor help

#1 Post by jhalb »

I have a 24 inch monitor that is not filling out to the entire screen. When I used the catalyst driver before I could stretch it out in the settings. But now that I am not using catalysts I have no way to fill out the monitor. I'm using randr to deal with my dual monitor setup. Resolutions are set correctly for both monitors its just that dell monitor thatis not filling out. There is like a 1 inch space all the way around. The other monitor is a sony 20 inch that is filling out correctly. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Its a fresh jessie system on xfce4.

Check the setting on the monitor itself if xrandr (or arandr) won't "fill" it.

Only if it were that easy. It had something to do with overscanning which I could do with the catalyst adjustments.
