To be able to get passed the Oracle Installer "runInstall" you have to cheat the installer to think that it is beeing installed on a RedHat box.
Step by Step:
1. create the following file:
-> /etc/redhat-release
2. Edit the file with the following content:
-> Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3 (Taroon Update 4)
3. Run the "runInstaller" and proceed with teh installation.
