HOWTO: Get a kernel image later than 2.6.8

#1 Post by geoffb »

Since linux kernel 2.6.8 (not including debian-installer images), kernel images have been renamed from kernel-image-2.6.8 to linux-image-*.*.* (e.g. linux-image-2.6.12). Take this into consideration when reading a tutorial (such as this one on configuring NVidia drivers) which calls for a kernel-image.
