Hi there:
I am asking for suggestions for installing Debian 8 in a Dell Precision M380 with Windows 8 installed. I tried every possible option as explained in wiki debian UEFI and other sources of information. Every option was unsuccessful, including "Force grub-efi installation to the removable media path". Secure boot is off and fast startup is disabled in Windows. Only windows can boot.
Some suggestion? Thanks.

Impossible installation of Debian 8 in a Dell with Windows 8

In what way? Just installing Grub in EFI? Did you get any error messages during installation?amorales wrote:Every option was unsuccessful

Re: Impossible installation of Debian 8 in a Dell with Windo
Did you use a "live" ISO image to install your system?
Those images are *not* UEFI capable, if you have installed from such an image then you will need to toggle the CSM or "Legacy" mode to switch between the two systems.
If you are completely sure that a non-live (netinstall) ISO image was used and that the system was booted in UEFI mode during installation (there would have been a "EFI system partition" mount point in the partitioning stage), please post the output of this command from a Windows Administrator prompt:
It would also be useful to see the output of this command from a UEFI-capable [1] Linux live ISO image:
[1] Fedora live ISO images support UEFI booting.

Next data are for Boot002* and BOOT003* that correspond to two LAN conected to USB port, I think not important. I think that there is not BOOT for Debian is that matters.
For further information I am adding the contents of partition /sda1 obtained with Debian rescue after installing Debian:
BOOTSECT.BAK EFI Recovery Recovery.txt System Volume Information
The contents of EFI are:

The content of Microsoft is:

and the content of debian is:

I would appreciate any suggestion, thanks.
