Do you know something equivalent to RedHat's System-Config-Kickstart which can install Debian OS into huge no. of standalone or server systems?
Please inform.

Not familiar with Kickstart beyond what google tells me. Is Preseed what you are looking for? http://wiki.debian.org/DebianInstaller/Preseed
The debian repos have python-pykickstart, but you'll have to read up on it on your own:
I'd say try preseed first since it seems to be the native debian tool for this, then try python-pykickstart.

Finally, ubuntu has system-config-kickstart (i.e. the redhat tool) -- it's normally quite easy to compile ubuntu packages on debian (compile yourself, and don't install prebuilt packages). http://packages.ubuntu.com/raring/syste ... -kickstart. See here for compilation and installation: http://verahill.blogspot.com.au/2013/05 ... ebian.htmlpykickstart is a Python library consisting of a data representation of kickstart files, a parser to read file into that representation, and a writer to generate
kickstart files.

I have seen the software and it works great, as I said, installing hardware specific installation for thousands of computers at once within ten minutes. If you want I could try to send you a snapshot.verahill wrote:Not familiar with Kickstart beyond what google tells me. The link is: system-config-kickstart
Thank you for your time to answer my query.
