No boot the wheezy 3.2.0-4 kernel after from upgradable

#1 Post by DEBIANIST »

Good afternoon
I can not boot the Wheezy amd64 3.2.0-4 kernel, after from upgradable Kernel 2.6.32-5. With installation, the wheezy from cd, do not enter at all into the system, it displays the tracks because graphics card. During the installation cd in selecting advanced to PCIE card says missing.
Since then, as I did, the installation uses the 2.6.32-5 kernel (about half this year) and I have not managed to step into kernel 3.2.0-4.
This is the composition of my computer:
3 AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor 3,4 GHZ‖ RAM Corsair DDR3 2X2GB=3954 MiB ‖ MSI 870A-G54 (MS-7599) - MSI MS-7599

Re: No boot the wheezy 3.2.0-4 kernel after from upgradable

It is a disgrace for the community, a time trying to get information, to solve the problem, and have written me and not my answer in any way. The software has problems and a few 1000 and telling the community not to support any problem, any user. Only he who is a programmer and corrects itself can work without problems.

[ 32.348] Build Operating System: Linux 3.11-2-amd64 x86_64 Debian
[ 32.348] Current Operating System: Linux pcd-athan 2.6.32-5-amd64 #1 SMP Tue May 13 16:34:35 UTC 2014 x86_64

Is this an upgrade of an already installed system?. I'm getting that feeling, because I don't know why else you would have a 2.6.32 kernel--and what's up with the 3.11-2 in the first line line I quoted?

Anyway, can you boot to the older 2.6.32 kernel? And what exactly do you have on the screen when trying to boot to a 3.2 kernel--is it entirely blank?

Maybe I am not following. Originally you were unable to boot after upgrade but then you successfully installed with the 3.2.0-4 kernel? You used the MSI R7 240 graphics card and it worked, minor screen shredding. (Is this a continuing issue?) Finally, are you saying you want to use the GeForce GT 240 graphics card that you originally mentioned in your first post but cannot?

To sum it up: is there STILL a boot issue? And if it is not and is regarding the graphics card, starting another thread (or seeing what is already out there :D) is a better option for a quick response.

EN: Dear tourada after upgrading never got IN THE 3.2.0-4 kernel. The first time was when I walked buy and puts the graphics card MSI R7 2GB DDR3 to the relative fragmentation of the screen before entering the work environment. I am willing to put again ZOTAC Where is DDR5, it is sufficient to help, why not myself ever do. Otherwise I'd go achristi The ZOTAC. So the problem still exists and is not solved.

So back to the original issue...

Have you tried the live CD?
https://www.debian.org/CD/faq/#live-cd

Did you re-download the iso and try again? Are you running Squeeze (given the 2.6.32 kernel) and upgrading to wheezy? If you run through your steps and errors it's easier for someone to provide an answer.

You said that after install (wheezy from cd), you could not "enter at all into the system". What exactly is the issue? Blank screen? ? What errors? Are you dual booting? UEFI (or not applicable)? More information would be very helpful.

EN: Does not work with live cd shows shattered screen, so when the install. I did a lot of testing, to install, with many different packages and the result was always the same screen shattered. Only with Squeeze upgrade worked nobody came then to 3.2.0-4 kernel, only in the 2.6.32-5 kernel.
I have installed to other three computers with full success and excludes very large proportion my fault.

Does this sound like your problem?
If your screen begins to show a weird picture while the kernel boots, eg. pure white, pure black or colored pixel garbage, your system may contain a problematic video card which does not switch to the framebuffer mode properly. Then you can use the boot parameter fb=false to disable the framebuffer console.

The translation software you are using makes it difficult to properly understand your posts.

My best guess is you are installing Debian onto a computer that is having difficulty running the gnome desktop environment.

If you do in fact have 64bit hardware then use a Debian liveCD with the Xfce desktop environment:
debian-live-7.6.0-amd64-xfce-desktop.iso 2014-07-23 18:31 946M
http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/cur ... so-hybrid/

It is a liveCD, so you can boot from CD and see how it works before installing. If you like it and it works okay, then install and hopefully everything will work. If still a problem then post back to this forum.
