Adding a network printer - SOLVED

#1 Post by opale7000 »

Hello All

Just installed Debian 9 and looks good. Now adding my XP 610 printer is another issue. I just do not know where to start.

http://www.openprinting.org/printers

Epson website, perhaps they offer drivers along with instructions.

This should get you started.

Yep. I have installed the DEB package however when I click print from Firefox for example I do not see the printer?

Use CUPS to set up printers.

Code: Select all

If you prefer a GUI install system-config-printer.

In either CUPS or system-config-printer you should find the printer you just "installed".

don't use Windows. Try debian, it's arguably better. The non gnome version though.
