Good tip, Phil.

The OP's questions in this thread were answered well enough by "4D696B65", I thought. As for some of the other comments, whether or not the OP should try to install Debian is for the OP to decide, IMHO. I certainly didn't know all I needed to know when I started out with Debian; some might say that I still don't, lol. I remember when I was still thinking about getting started with Linux. There was this IT guy on my job, and I asked him a few questions that probably sounded real stupid at the time. He (quite condescendingly) fed me a line about there being a huge learning curve involved, as if I was too dumb to be able to figure things out. His advice was to stick with Windows or buy a Mac. I thought to myself, "Screw him, he doesn't know anything about me."
