Black screen after fresh install

Postby kerryhall » 2018-01-02 08:28

Hi folks,

Fresh install of Debian 9.

I get the prompt for disk password, then just a black screen after that.

TTYs do not appear to be enabled by default.

Booting in safe mode also has no effect, still a black screen.

What shall I try now? How do I gather logs if the screen is blank?

Thanks!

Can you be more specific?

Also what are your specs and what DE did you choose? What gfx card?

No, they are not. You have to configure your login if you want to login via tty:

You need to configure the GRUB file so you can get a verbose output
