Good evening. After installing Debian 9, I received the following message after removing the installation media and continuing:
Sent SIGKILL to all processes
Requesting system reboot.
Setup froze at this point. What happens?
Scheduled Maintenance: We are aware of an issue with Google, AOL, and Yahoo services as email providers which are blocking new registrations. We are trying to fix the issue and we have several internal and external support tickets in process to resolve the issue. Please see: viewtopic.php?t=158230

could be some sort of acpi problem.
please search "linux hangs on reboot" or something.
there should be some line you can add to the boot command line (via grub).

I turned the PC off manually and turned it on again. despite the error the system was installed correctly.
