Preseed install debian 9.4

#1 Post by brendanl »

Hello,

I want to change the installer of Debian 9.4 so that the usual configurations are no longer required during the installation and is managed, thanks to a file that contains all the information it needs (partitioning, IP, keyboard, option, etc.) .

Do you know where I can find and manipulate a Debian installation pre-configuration file: Preseed.cfg, Debian.seed or something like that?

Thank you in advance

Quite a few interesting results, one you can start with: https://www.debian.org/releases/etch/hp ... 05.html.en
or this,https://www.debian.org/releases/jessie/ ... 04.html.en is better.
B.4. Contents of the preconfiguration file (for jessie)

The configuration fragments used in this appendix are also available as an example preconfiguration file from http://www.debian.org/releases/jessie/e ... reseed.txt.

Note that this example is based on an installation for the Intel x86 architecture. If you are installing a different architecture, some of the examples (like keyboard selection and bootloader installation) may not be relevant and will need to be replaced by debconf settings appropriate for your architecture.
Seems like I have seen this asked before on this forum as well, there may be some topics all ready that go into detail, if you browse or search the forum.
