Last night I upgraded (apt-get dist-upgrade) my old computer (10+ years). I run Deb 8 Jessie LXDE without any problems for years. When I started again the icons on the desktop had smaller font and some letters were replaced with dots. Internet did not work. After some seconds the system stalled. Same problem after restart. I tried running Gnome- same result.
Any ideas out there? Please instruct on what info you need. Since internet doesn't work it is hard to send detailed info.
