Issues detecting a USB NTFS external drive

I'm coming from a world where everything can be installed whit a double click.... like viruses..... That been said, I'm trying to use a really old computer as a Open VPN/ Resilio Sync back up device. This is my first time using linux.


I'm using a old Netbook computer / Toshiba NB255 / Debian i386 / 1GB Ram

I got to the point I was able to install NTFS drivers, but now I'm getting an error message that I'm unable to mount drive because I'm not a "zfs member", and doing a reseah I was unable to find a solution by googling.


can you tell me how to solve it ?

Maybe you can help me identifying the issue and the steps to solve it ?

This command

sudo fdisk --list

should give you list of all disk/partitions connected to computer with their types.
What do you get from it?

Can you mount it manually? Ask a search engine for instructions.
