My internet is limited to 1.5 GB per day. Will that be enough to install Debian 10.0 GNOME through network installer?

Not likely. Your best option would be to download the full DVD installer using a download manager such as wget over several days and install from that.Rigel wrote:My internet is limited to 1.5 GB per day. Will that be enough to install Debian 10.0 GNOME through network installer?
DVD1, which is all you need, is 3.6GB - https://www.debian.org/CD/http-ftp/ . Choose your local mirror for faster download.
Or even better, use BitTorrent - https://www.debian.org/CD/torrent-cd/ . It will resume automatically.

So the standard base system (without a graphical desktop) is 933MiB installed, probably about a fifth of that to actually download, then add 785MiB for the GNOME desktop.
I would install a standard system without a desktop then run the tasksel command to add GNOME the next day

I assume that DVD image contains lots of packages. Does the installer let us deselect unnecessary apps if I want clean installation?sunrat wrote:Not likely. Thanks for the link. Is this 785 MB just GNOME core apps or does it include things like Libreoffice?Head_on_a_Stick wrote:https://www.debian.org/releases/buster/ ... 02.en.html
