Unable to boot after installation

Postby emil_21 » 2020-07-16 13:22

I have second hard disk on my laptop Thinkpad T420 on which i installed Debian 10 from netinst iso. During the installation i created one 400mb partition for /boot and one 50GB partition for root. I encrypted the root partition. But after the installation when i tried to boot to new installation i get this message:

Code: Select all
error: file '/grub/i386-pc/normal.mod' not found
Entering rescue mode...
grub rescue>

At the grub rescue prompt, what is the output of
Code: Select all
ls
echo $prefix
ls $prefix

I fixed it by reinstalling grub using the Rescue Mode from debian installer.
