Wifi [Atheros AR9287] does not work on Debian 10 Live CD

^ This usually refers to a hardware wifi switch being disabled. Have you checked any and all hardware switches for the wireless device? That setting cannot be changed by the rfkill command.

Hi, I have tried several times, at startup there was no way to turn on the hardware. However, in Debian 9 you can turn on the board with Fn+F3 without problems, but in Debian 10 it doesn't work.

What could be the reason for the problem?

Hi, I just downloaded debian 10.09 netinstall. https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/cu ... etinst.iso

When I perform the installation the wifi network board is recognized and connects without problems to the wifi network. But when I finish the installation and boot the system with kde interface, the wifi board does not connect.

I can't understand what is the source of the problem. Please report this problem to be solved.

This is a Debian user forum. The developers don't hang out here, so asking us to fix or report bugs is of no use.

I help develop MX Linux, which is derived from Debian 10, so I am curious if you have the same problems with MX 19.4 KDE edition in its Live session, which is using a newer 5.10 kernel on Buster.

After testing for so long, I have Debian 11 running at full speed with the default free drivers.
But to solve the problem I had to do the following:
1) Install Debian using a netinstall image since in livecd mode it doesn't recognize it.
2) Once installed, the board does not boot, so you have to run the following command:

sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf <<< "blacklist acer_wmi"

3) Reboot and the wifi board will boot without problems.

I'm new so my advice no tiene mucho valor , but have you tried the Debian 11 Bullseye ? who knows , you have nothing to loose ?
