chromium is not updated

I would like to know why chromium is not updated is still on version 83? Google chrome is now at 86.
Is version still safe?

I think the devs have trouble keeping up with Chrome, Google don't have an LTS release.

Perhaps try firefox-esr instead, that tends to be kept updated very well indeed and certainly better than the chromium package.

I'm not sure what you mean by security breaches. The link shows that there are many unfixed vulnerabilities. Whether any have been exploited on any systems is a different question.
