Debian 10.6.0 Installation doesn't detect M.2 harddrive/wifi

Hello,
I just bought a new computer, it is an HP model 14s-fq0104nf
it comes with an internal SSD M.2 harddrive of 64Gbytes
and wifi (no ethernet port)
I downloaded Debian GNU/Linux 10.6.0 "Buster" - Unofficial amd64 DVD Binary-1 with firmware 20200926-10:17
in a hope that "non free" driver could help detect hardware on my computer.
I wrote the DVD iso in to a USB flash drive and booted my computer with this USB drive
the Debian installation starts, but it doesn't detect my wifi card, it seems to be a Realtek RTL8821CE, which debian users already have trouble with when I searched on the internet
you can compile a driver for it, but right now I can't, because my computer isn't even running linux yet.
is there a precompiled driver that I can stick into my debian installation disk, so it could detect the card at install ?
so right now, I continued the installation without network connection.
and now it won't detect my M.2 harddrive, it only detect my USB stick on which the debian iso is.
so I can't install debian since it doesn't detect any internal hard drive to install the system on.

I tried to go in to the bios setup, but I didn't found anything useful, no "raid" option, no ahci option, no uefi option ..

I tried to run the debian installer in rescue mode and run some commands to detect hardware, here are some results, if that can help

I think the driver for that card has now been added to the kernel. But not the kernel in Debian buster.

The same might be true for your hard drive. Expecting the current Debian stable release (for which the package versions were frozen 2 years ago) to work with a brand new machine is not sensible.

You could have used the Unofficial non-free images including firmware packages https://cdimage.debian.org/images/unoff ... -firmware/ and added the firmware from there. It does not automatically identify and install, you need to do that yourself.

I downloaded "debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso"
and there is exactly the same problem, no network card detected (the rtl8821ce is not listed in the driver I can load, at best there is rtl8821ae driver which doesn't work on my computer)
and my m.2 hard drive is not detected either.
any suggestion ? before I return the computer back ..

The driver won't work without the (non-free) firmware so you should try the unofficial image instead.

Are you sure there is no option for AHCI mode? That's the only other thing I can think of.

Otherwise perhaps try the December 2020 Arch ISO image, that will have a very recent kernel and includes non-free firmware.

Are you sure it is an M.2 SSD ? 64 GB sounds a bit small for this kind of SSD. An M.2 SSD should appear either as an NVMe controller, an AHCI SATA controller (both shown with lspci) or a SATA drive (attached to a SATA controller which should be shown by lspci).

The M.2 interface supports USB so theoretically the SSD may appear as a USB storage device, but I have never heard of such device.

I could not find much about this reference, but it seems that is an eMMC device , not M.2. eMMC devices are flash memory+controller embedded in a single chip soldered on the motherboard, commonly found in tablets and netbooks. They do not appear as PCI nor SATA/SCSI devices, but as /dev/mmcblk* block devices, like SD cards. This kind of device is still mysterious to me, I wonder how they are attached to the system bus and detected by the kernel.
