It is very recent hardware. Debian Buster out-of-the-box will not work. That will probably need Bullseye or even Sid with tweaking.

That laptop does seem to work with some other varieties of Linux. https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxhardware/ ... _legion_5/

Debian testing is frozen, so it's not really risky to use that now. Make sure you realize that you will need the non-free firmware-amd-graphics package for the GPU and also for the wifi.

You could also try the Live Session of the AHS or KDE editions of MX Linux 19, which are based on Buster but have updated video support and firmware--you don't have to install anything to try out MX from a USB. Then you know that Debian 11 should also support it.

I bought an HP pavilion with the same architecture, "AMD Ryzen 7 4800H / 16GB / 512GB SSD / GTX 1650Ti / 15.6".
Install Debian 10 without problems.
The problem came when configuring the GTX 1650Ti graphics card, it is not found in any repository (it will appear with debian 11). Compile the NVIDIA manufacturer drivers that exist, I recognized it but the GPU did not send the configuration values for the X session.
There I stopped investigating and returned the laptop.

With lenovo legion 5, the architecture is the same as HP pavilion, the graphics card is inside the 418.xxx repository (GTX 1650).
About the wireless device I do not know what manufacturer it is in the lenovo legion 5.

I think it will work ... but without the Touchpad.
