Debain on intel nuc 11

#1 Post by getti87 »

Hello,

I tried to install debian buster on my intel nuc 11, but it seems that the nic (i225-LM) is not recognized.
Has anyone sucessfully installed debian with this nic?

Kind regards

It probably needs the appropriate non-free firmware. Look for firmware-iwlwifi and firmware-misc-nonfree. Add non-free to your sources.list.

Even tenth-gen Intel hardware is not supported on Buster, even with buster-backports, since it needs a newer Mesa. You can use Bullseye with non-free packages, or MX Linux AHS with the latest kernel you can put on it--5.10 backported from Sid or a 5.11 Liquorix kernel.
