Hello,
I've downloaded today 3 times the net installation iso for debian sarge (debian-31r0a-i386-netinst.iso)
I downloaded it once from the official site, once using bitTorrent and once form an FTP server (ftp.belnet.be).
In all 3 cases the checksum was correct (for the whole iso).
I burned the iso with Nero (following the description on the debian.org site).
Every cd boots ok but in the module loading section i get the following error :
/dist/sarge/main/binairy-i386/packages.gz failed MD5 checksum verification
It seems very weird that I have 3 times (for every cd) the same error.
I even tried the 'bussiness card" iso (debian-31r0a-i386-businesscard.iso) and I had the same error !!!
Is there something wrong with the iso ??

Debian Sarge: unable to use netinstall

My opinion is that the Debian Sarge installer does have problems. I recommend that you use the current testing installer. The Debian Boot Team now has three months of intensive feedback on the Sarge installer, and hopefully the bug that is biting you has been squashed.
