I can boot the CD on my
PC(AMD Athlon64 3200, Asus-bord, 2 IDE-Harddisks+2SATA-Harddisks)
I am a good way into the installation of the base system, and then it stops with a errormessage saying that the installation of the base-system failed and referred me to the syslog, the consoles are still running, and iwas able to copy the syslog to my harddisk, it ens as follows:

when tried the installation in expert-mode the last messages were as follows:

Cannot install "debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso"
Re: Cannot install "debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso&qu
Personally, if I wanted to install debian system, I would do one of the following:
- Install Debian Sarge, then upgrade to Testing
- Get Sarge's netinstall CD, and before it begins to get packages from the net, go to a console by pressing Alt+right_cursor , edit /etc/apt/sources.list to make it point to testing instead of sarge(stable), run, and voilá, get back to the Debian installer (Alt+left_cursor), and it will install from the Testing distribution.

Code: Select all
apt-get update
