newby stuck in install at configuring locales

#1 Post by Guest »

I'm installing 3.0r4 from a 7-CD set and everything goes great up through selecting packages. Then package install starts and the first step is a screen headed "Configuring Locales" with a scrolling list of locales.

I use the arrow keys and spacebar to select en_US ISO-8859-1 and en_US.UTF-8 and then...

..then what?!?! I hit return and every other key I can think of, but the dialog won't end. The only way I've found to terminate it is to hit control-c, but that causes an error, and the install process restarts, losing my package selections, eventually ending up back at the same dialog...

What's the secret to successfully terminating the configuring locales dialog??

solved by a user in a different forum: tab to get to the <ok> field, then enter.
