Hello!
Need advice on Wheezy installing.
System -- Laptop Lenovo Ideapad z565 (4g, phenom quad core, ati5400).
--------------------------------
Now there is Debian Squeeze installed on laptop.
During Squeeze installing (last year) there were problems too.
Boot options:
Code: Select all
expertgui
results with blank screen
Boot options:
Code: Select all
expert vga=normal fb=false

Results with:
Code: Select all

pci 0000:00:02.0: PME# supported from D0 D3hot D3cold
pci 0000:00:02.0: PME# disabled
...(and 9 similar lines)

But this option helped me to install the system:
Code: Select all

With options:
Code: Select all
expert vga=normal fb=false pci=nocrs

Why not just upgrade the squeeze to wheezy.
No need to run an installer at all.

Since you have an ati chip, you may need to install firmware-linux-nonfree.
