Installed the new Debian 3.1 installation using the 2.6 kernel option. The install went without a hitch. I chose the desktop configuration from the base-config program. At some point during answering the prompted installation questions, the system acknoleged it could not find my video card - NVIDEA 6800 Ultra videa card.
Can anyone point me to the proper procedure for configuring this video card for use in Debian under the x system.
In gentoo I just downloaded the linux driver from NVIDEA, ran the script and it installed. However, in Debian I get an error saying it could not find the kernel source. I checked the /usr/src directory and it was right, there are no sources.
So, how do I get this card installed and configured for use under Debian?
Any help would be much appreciated. Sincerely, Dave G.
