When I was about to dist-upgrade my Debian Sid installation I noted that will remove the package "apt-build".
I am not sure why but possibly it lacks support and has not been maintained since a very long time. There was some comments on that already back in 2006:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=365427
However, I cannot find anything conclusive at
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgrepo ... =apt-build
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/apt-build
My question is, if I let it be uninstalled, what other package(s) would provide the same or similar functionality of apt-build?
Scheduled Maintenance: We are aware of an issue with Google, AOL, and Yahoo services as email providers which are blocking new registrations. We are trying to fix the issue and we have several internal and external support tickets in process to resolve the issue. Please see: viewtopic.php?t=158230
