I don't know who can answer this and I am just curious. I have been using VirtualBox for four years on Mac hosts. It is not possible to take a screenshot within a guest with 3D enabled that was running Compiz, Unity, Gnome 3, Cinnamon etc. except for Debian 7 with Gnome 3.
I am very curious why only Debian 7 works if anyone has any thoughts on this.

Screenshots in Debian 7 - Gnome 3
Re: Screenshots in Debian 7 - Gnome 3
there is at least one post in another thread here questioning Oracles understanding of VB
and that perhaps some Debian devs should explain how it should be done.
when / if I find that post again I'll link to it.

In memory of Ian Ashley Murdock (1973 - 2015) founder of the Debian project.

Those that can, do. Those that can't, tell us how to.
