Getting involved

#1 Post by runfrodorun »

I've never developed for debian distribution, but I've been thinking about a project, more of a research type thing than a useful type thing to port some useful software the the BSD flavor of debian. How do you get involved in the process for debian, i.e. how do I find out who the maintainers are and how to get started etc.
Much opinionated.
Some abrasive.
No systemd.
Wow.

Debian == { > 30, 000 packages }; Debian != systemd
The worst infection of all, is a false sense of security!
It is hard to get away from CLI tools.

kFreeBSD and HURD have their own mailing lists, and i believe they're always shorthanded so they'll no doubt be happy for assistance. Just read around a bit, and get the gist of what's involved before you post.

I think both have plenty that still needs fixing...
The Forum's search box is terrible. Use site specific search, e.g.
