I am new to debian and need to upgrade libc6-i686:i386 (version 2.13-38+deb7u6) to libc6_2.15. But when I try to install libc6_2.15 it display below message. Please help me to install libc6_2.15-0ubuntu10.9_i386.deb file.
Basically I need to install RebbitMQ and its dependency Erlang. and Erlang need its own dependency file libc6( >=2.15 varsion) but presently debian has libc6(2.13).
So I need to upgrade it or install new one.
I've been keeping track, and so far the experimental libc6 2.17 in the MEPIS repo has not broken anybody's system, so it actually is safe. Since it is just copying what SteamOS did, that is the expected result.
There's also a backported xorg in SteamOS, but there does not seem to be that great a demand for it in Wheezy.
