Window border - Mate - Stretch

Hi everybody,

I just did a clean install of Debian Stretch, everything went smooth, nVidia drivers installed without a hitch. Very stable!!

However when trying to theme her I noticed the window borders will not change and the default looks terrible, font looks funky and the border has a slight transparency to it and a white line around the borders.
I'm not sure how to go about fixing it or is it supposed to be like that or a bug?

Anybody else encountered this and can it be fixed.

Thanks in advance
Ant

Sounds like a compositing problem.
Turn compositing ON or OFF at Control Center > Windows and see what happens.
Also, you can install MATE Tweak and select window managers there (with/without compositing..

Yeah I did all that, I ended up installing some packages and eventually got it working with marco hw compositor,(not sure witch package got it working) then I installed compiz fusion but I ended up with the same issue. So I gave up and installed jessie.
everything is working as it should and I got compiz-fusion installed :D

I will give it another go when Debian 9 has been released

Thanks again Tony
