looking for a video clipper for Debian 10 . I tried all the ones in debian-testing, now I'm looking for a flatpack or soemthing that works with the 3 most common youtube containers.

a video clipper is a app that allows you to set a video segment from a video file then export it without the encode step https://filmora.wondershare.com/video-e ... tters.html

Try the Avidemux appimage. That works fine.

You could also try vidcutter, https://github.com/ozmartian/vidcutter/releases

Darn, that's bloated. I have Stretch packages that might work in Buster. I haven't expanded the Buster multimedia repo much at all.

works without a hitch, VERY easy to use. Slow to start up, and doesn't like files with special characters, seems 100% though. Going to also install through apt, and try again.

Vidcutter only detects the audio, but does not play it. Probably an missing requirement for alsa or jack, (looking at the errors.)

Thank you StevePusser!
