Docky for Debian Buster

Dear Debian Community,

I have been running Debian Buster for over a month now and I am quite happy with it. However I noticed that the Docky launcher has been removed and was wondering if it's going to be available again at some point? I can't live without Docky and I would be willing to pay a developer/programmer to update/make Docky compatible for Debian Buster.

I checked https://launchpad.net/debian/buster/+source/docky but there's currently no package available.
Also https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=docky but there are only packages,for Debian jessie and stretch.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have a nice day,
Linux Scientist

If it is not included by now, then it will not be included for Busters entire lifecycle... Unless it gets backported.

Looks to me like docky is a dead project and has been replaced by plank, which is actively maintained.

Correct
docky | 2.2.1.1-1 | source, all

------------------- Reason -------------------
RoQA; unmaintained, depends on ancient GNOME libraries
----------------------------------------------

@all
Thank you. I've already tried Plank, unfortunately it's only a 2 dock with very limited theming options. I prefer a 3D dock with a dock background image (like a wooden dock) instead. According to the Plank developers this feature is not planned and won't be integrated in Plank.

I'm going to offer a bounty on bounty source for open source developers soon. In hope that Docky can be updated for future use.
